Things Were Different Yesterday

I am in the process of finalising the company accounts. I ran an old database report to check something and I thought you'd be interested in the result.

The report looked at the average order value, with and without delivery costs, from 2007 until last year.

If you click on this image link you'll see that the average spend has changed little in the last ten years: the average order value (with delivery) has been between £30 and £35 throughout. The notable exception is 2007: the year before the financial crash.

I'm not sure what it means exactly but it's too strong a trend not to mean something. It looks like I'll have to do a bit more digging.
